ICON Beach
Icmeler’s attempt at glamour, and closer to landing it than the bay lets on.
The verdict
- Book ifYou want the most deliberately styled daybed on the Icmeler sand, a bar and kitchen behind it, and a bay calm enough to swim before the music starts
- Skip ifYou expect resort polish at public beach prices, since visitor reports describe deposit led entry with figures that swing hard by season and seat
- One thing to knowThe club runs sea helicopter sightseeing flights along the coast, which tells you exactly how it sees itself, reserve by WhatsApp on +90 549 527 40 55 in season

Icmeler is a bay built for the package week, a sheltered curve of sand backed by hotel gardens and fronted by pedaloes, which makes ICON Beach an interesting misfit. The club bills itself, on its own Turkish language site, as the most distinctive and elegant address in Marmaris, and the styling backs the claim further than you might expect: white daybeds in disciplined lines, umbrellas that match, a bar and restaurant treated as the centre of the operation rather than a kiosk behind it. On a shore where most loungers belong to whichever hotel stands behind them, this is the stretch that was actually art directed.
The context matters, though, and it is exactly what the club’s tighter photographs leave out. Pull the frame wider and the pine ridges above the bay share the skyline with mid rise resort blocks, and the soundtrack beyond the decking is families enjoying a package holiday in full voice. Our Marmaris club directory calls ICON the styled choice of the bay and its neighbour Palace Beach Club the lively family one, and that division of labour is honest: this is where you come to feel dressed, not hidden.

The look, the ledger and the loud hours
Read as a piece of staging, ICON gets the fundamentals right. The furniture holds one palette instead of five, the sightline from bed to bar to water is kept clear, and the evening photographs, all warm bulbs against a darkening bay, are the strongest advertising Icmeler produces. The helicopter is the tell. A beach bar does not offer sightseeing flights; a venue that wants to be a destination does, and everything here, from the event calendar promising daylong energy to the insistence on elegance in every line of self description, follows that ambition.
The ledger is where the ambition rubs against the bay. Nothing resembling a price list is published, and the visitor record describes entry as a deposit you drink and eat back rather than a fee, with reported amounts that range from modest to eye watering depending on the year, the month and the row of beds. We treat every one of those numbers as unverified. What the pattern does establish is the model: you commit money at the gate and the club expects the bar to absorb it, which rewards groups who planned to spend the day anyway and punishes anyone who wandered in for an hour of shade.
Then there is the clock. The same program that fills the afternoon gives the morning away: before noon the music is low, the beds are half taken and the bay in front is at its clearest, and that is when the design reads best and the spend stretches furthest. If your picture of Icmeler is the quiet one, take the first hours. If it is the party, come late and let the deposit work.
Icmeler beyond the decking

Photo: Emre “Motoplus” Paldun via GoogleThe bay itself is the reason any of this works: sheltered by headlands, fed by mountain streams, calmer and a touch cooler than the Marmaris side, with water that stays swimmable and clear along the whole curve. Our Icmeler beach guide covers the free public stretches, which are genuinely good, and our calm water guide explains why this corner of the coast suits nervous swimmers better than most of the Aegean.
Reaching ICON and locking the bed
The club stands on Ataturk Caddesi, the shore road through Icmeler’s Cumhuriyet district. From Marmaris you have three honest options: the dolmus minibuses that shuttle the coast road all day in season, a taxi of roughly fifteen minutes when traffic behaves, or the water taxi across the bay from the promenade, which forum veterans have recommended to day trippers for years and which remains the most scenic of the three. Drivers will find parking along the resort streets rather than at the sand.
Booking runs through the club’s phone and WhatsApp line or its site, and the sensible order in high summer is bed first, boat second. If you would rather we handle it, put your date and numbers in the form below and we ask ICON directly for the current deposit, daybed availability and any minimum for your visit, at no cost and with nothing owed.

Before you go
Is there an entry fee at ICON Beach Marmaris?
Visitor accounts describe entry that works as a deposit set against your food and drink rather than a flat ticket, but the reported figures vary so widely between seasons and seating positions that we will not print one as fact. The current deposit and what it covers are to be confirmed with the club before you go.
Where exactly is ICON Beach?
On the Icmeler side of the Marmaris coast, at Ataturk Caddesi 56 in the Cumhuriyet district, with the bay in front and the pine ridges behind. Icmeler sits a short ride west of Marmaris town and the two are easy to combine in one day.
How do you get to ICON Beach from Marmaris?
The dolmus minibuses run the coast road to Icmeler all day in season, taxis take around fifteen minutes outside peak traffic, and water taxis cross the bay from the Marmaris promenade. Forum regulars have long pointed day trippers at the water taxi as the pleasant way to arrive.
Do you need to book ICON Beach in advance?
The club takes bookings by phone and WhatsApp on +90 549 527 40 55, and in July and August the front row of daybeds is the first thing to go on any styled Icmeler venue. Midweek and shoulder months are kinder to walk ins, though we would still call ahead for a group.
What is there beyond the daybeds at ICON Beach?
A restaurant and bar that the club presents as a core part of the day, a party program it advertises as running all day in season, and one genuine oddity: sea helicopter sightseeing flights along the coastline, promoted on the club’s own site. Costs for any of these are to be confirmed.
Is ICON Beach right for a quiet couples day?
Choose your hour. The venue styles itself as the elegant address on the bay, and mornings live up to that, but its own event program promises daylong energy in high season, so a couple after silence should come early, come in June or September, or pick a sleepier stretch of the Icmeler sand.
