About Beaches for Kings
The honest beach guide
Most beach content online reads like the same page with the nouns swapped. We started Beaches for Kings to do the opposite: to be the most honest guide on the internet to each beach, written with the taste of a well travelled friend who has no patience for hype.
Every guide leads with a verdict. We tell you who a beach suits, who should skip it, the better hour to arrive and the access surprise nobody mentions. When a famous beach is overrated, we say so and tell you where to go instead. That first hand read is the whole point.
Researched, not guessed
We research every page at build time and check it on a regular cadence, with a visible last reviewed date on each one. Where a detail cannot be confirmed, such as a club's minimum spend or opening status, we mark it to be confirmed rather than invent a number.
Conditions on a beach are described as typical, never guaranteed, and we make no promises about swimming safety, which always depends on the day. Imagery is licensed or sourced from Google Places with the photographer credited beside the photo.
Independent and upfront
Beaches for Kings is an independent editorial resource. We are not affiliated with any beach club, hotel or operator, and a paid relationship is never disguised as an editorial ranking.
When you book a beach club through us, some bookings may earn us a commission at no cost to you, and display advertising runs across the site. None of that changes a verdict. The honest read comes first, every time.
Common questions
Is Beaches for Kings independent?
Yes. We are an independent editorial resource and are not affiliated with any beach club, hotel or operator. We may earn a commission from some bookings and we run display advertising, but a paid relationship never changes a ranking or a verdict.
How do you make money?
Through booking enquiries, where some bookings earn us a commission at no cost to you, and through display advertising across the site. Tour and transfer links may appear after the editorial content, never before it, and are never disguised as a ranking.
How often are the guides updated?
Each page carries a visible last reviewed date and is re-reviewed on a regular cadence, with seasonal and flagship pages checked more often. When facts change, such as a club's status, we update the page rather than leave it stale.
How do you handle facts you cannot confirm?
We mark them to be confirmed rather than guess. We never invent a club, venue, amenity, price or opening status, and we describe beach conditions as typical rather than guaranteed, with no swimming safety promises.
