Morten Andersen is a founder and editor of Beaches for Kings. He helped start the publication on a simple belief, that most beach content reads like the same page with the nouns swapped, and that a guide earns trust only by leading with a clear verdict and saying where not to go.
Morten has lived across some of the world's great beach destinations, among them Dubai, Florida, Thailand and Spain, and that lived experience, the difference between a beach that photographs well and one that actually earns your day, runs through every guide he reviews.
Outside Beaches for Kings, Morten is a founder and director of Redress Compliance, an independent advisory firm, where over more than two decades he has helped organisations cut through vendor claims and negotiate on the strength of verified facts. He brings the same insistence on evidence to the beach guides.
Role at Beaches for Kings
Morten is accountable for editorial standards and accuracy. He owns the corrections process, so when a reader flags a detail that is wrong, the page is checked and updated promptly rather than left stale, and he sets the bar for the depth and specifics every guide must carry.
He also oversees how the site sources and credits imagery, which is licensed or drawn from Google Places with the photographer credited beside the photo, and the disclosure that display advertising and booking commissions never sit ahead of the editorial verdict.
