Sanur Beach House borrowed its name from a Balinese beach town and spent its budget making the reference stick: carved wood, thatch, low daybeds and lanterns arranged along one of the prettiest reaches of the Dhermi shore, where the Ionian runs glass clear and the Ceraunian mountains stand straight up behind the road. It is the styled half of an adults only resort, which means the whole operation is tuned to grown ups by design, and it doubles as a private events house that stages everything from small gatherings to full celebrations on its own sand.

We list it second in the Albanian Riviera club directory and first for a couple with a camera roll to fill. The trade for all that styling is the usual one on this coast: nothing about the money is written down anywhere, and the weekend has a second, much louder personality.

The daytime case for two is close to airtight. Dhermi’s water is the coast’s cleanest argument for itself, a white shingle shelf dropping into blue that photographs like the Caribbean, and Sanur has claimed a stretch of it away from the main strip’s umbrella grid. The daybeds are proper doubles under thatch, the adults only rule keeps the soundtrack conversational through the morning, and the crowd, heavy on Tirana’s well dressed, treats lunch as an event rather than a refuel. If the day has a reserved hour, it is the last one before dusk: this shore faces west over open sea, so the sun sets into the water in front of your bed, not behind a ridge, and the venue’s own reels lean on that hour for a reason.

The volume dial is the thing to respect. From Friday onward the DJs arrive and the beach house becomes the party it advertises, with international event platforms carrying Sanur bookings in recent seasons and the music running deep into the night. That is a feature if you came for it and a genuine ambush if you booked a quiet dinner for two on a Saturday. August compounds it, as it does everywhere on this riviera. The romantic play is a weekday in late June or September, sunset dinner included, and the party left to the people who queued for it.

The last honest note is paperwork. Sanur publishes no daybed rate, no minimum, no entry rule and no menu prices, and the aggregator hours floating around online are unconfirmed by the venue itself. None of that is unusual for the Albanian coast yet, but it means your booking call has to do the work: get the bed, the figure and the evening programme confirmed in one conversation, and treat any number you read elsewhere, including ours, as a placeholder until the venue says it.

The beach house sits on Dhermi beach, a long run of white pebble and shingle under a hillside village that has watched the sea for centuries from well above it. Mornings are the swimmers’ window, typically calm and startlingly clear before the afternoon breeze ruffles the surface, and the shore keeps going past the clubs in both directions, so a barefoot walk to the empty end costs nothing. Dhermi announces itself from the coastal highway with one of the great reveals of the Mediterranean, the bay opening up far below the road, and then makes you earn it on the winding descent. Sanur sits on the resort stretch of shore near the Posta kufitare stop rather than on the village front, so follow the beach road rather than parking at the first sight of sand.
