Wet Stories calls itself the hottest beach bar on Santorini, and for once the self description survives contact with reality. It occupies a prime run of Perivolos with beds and cabanas at the waterline, a restaurant that cooks with local produce rather than reheating for tourists, a boutique selling Greek designer resort wear, and a summer program that flies DJs in for its Sunday events. It is a complete machine for spending a whole day on black sand without ever opening your own bag.

Our Santorini beach club directory ranks it among the top spots on the island’s southeast coast, and this profile does the arithmetic the directory leaves open. The short version: the bed money is real, roughly a sixty at the back and more than double that once bottle service enters the picture, but the bundle behind it is thicker than most Perivolos rivals offer, and Sunday nights add a show that neighbouring beds do not get.

The honest read

The bed, the kitchen and the Sunday question

By day it runs like a well drilled resort deck. Waiters cover the rows quickly, recent visitors describe service as fast and organized even at capacity, and the towels, showers and changing rooms folded into the bed packages remove the small frictions that nickel and dime you elsewhere on Perivolos. The kitchen is a genuine reason to stay for lunch rather than a hostage situation: Mediterranean plates built on local produce, a serious wine and champagne list, and a yellowtail ceviche that guests this season keep naming as the order.

Sunday is when the club shows its other face. The 2026 program brings a different act each week, from the Afro house of Vasilis and the two decade deep house pedigree of T.Markakis, through London club regular Natalie Jane, to Nikos Diamantopoulos, a Greek producer with over two hundred releases, and the sunset specialist Nostalya. Sets are billed from 22.30, past the listed daily close, so party nights run on their own clock and the beds nearest the bar become the dance floor’s front porch.

The honest caveats are the flip side of all that. Music plays all day whether you want it or not, the front row escalates quickly from 80 EUR toward bottle service territory, and if your idea of Santorini is a quiet swim and a book, you are paying a premium for an atmosphere you will spend the day trying to ignore. The cheaper play on the same coast is a simple lounger toward Perissa, then a walk back here for one cocktail as the light drops.

Perivolos is the practical answer to the caldera’s postcard problem: this is the side of Santorini where you actually swim. The sand is volcanic, black and coarse, the water deepens fairly quickly, and by midday the surface underfoot is genuinely hot, so sandals matter more here than at most Greek beaches. The strip carries a whole row of clubs, which means walking a hundred metres changes the music, the crowd and the price. Our Perivolos beach guide maps the full run and where it flows into Perissa.

Getting there and booking

Getting in and getting a bed

Perivolos sits about twenty minutes by car from Fira and half an hour from Oia, with parking lanes behind the beach clubs that cope until the August weekend crowds arrive. The public bus toward Perissa gets you within a walkable distance of the strip, and taxis know every club on it by name.

Reservations are the one part of the operation that is thoroughly modern: the club runs its bookings through a SevenRooms engine linked from its site, and the phone line picks up what the engine cannot answer. If you want a second opinion before committing real bed money, send your date and numbers through the form below and we will check availability, the current rate for each row and whether a Sunday or a weekday suits your group better. The service is free.

Good questions

Before you go

What do the sunbeds cost at Wet Stories in Santorini?

The club does not print a tariff online, but 2026 visitor guides report standard beds around 60 EUR, front row spots from about 80 EUR, and upgraded beds with bottle service and food from roughly 125 EUR, with the hosted VIP corner carrying a reported 350 EUR minimum spend. Treat all of it as reported and confirm the rate when you reserve.

Do you need to book Wet Stories in advance?

In July and August, yes, especially for anything front row or for Sundays. Reservations run through the SevenRooms engine linked from wetstoriessantorini.gr, or by phone on +30 2286 082990. Outside peak weeks a weekday walk up usually finds a bed in the back rows.

What is included with a bed at Wet Stories?

The bed packages described in the club’s material include beach towels and use of the showers and changing rooms, with waiter service to the bed for food and drinks. That bundle is what separates the price from the cheaper loungers further down Perivolos, so use all of it.

Which nights are the DJ parties at Wet Stories in 2026?

Sundays. The club’s 2026 calendar opened in late April with double bills like Vasilis with T.Markakis, and runs weekly Sunday music events with sets billed from 22.30, featuring names such as Natalie Jane, Nikos Diamantopoulos and Nostalya. Check the parties page on the club’s site for the current lineup before you commit a night.

What beach is Wet Stories on?

Wet Stories sits on Perivolos, the long black sand strip on the southeast coast of Santorini. The volcanic sand gets seriously hot underfoot by midday, which is exactly when included towels, shade and a waiter start feeling like money well spent.
