Early on, JoJo is a straightforward black sand beach bar: a lounger, a sandwich, the flat Aegean in front of you, the volcanic sand hot underfoot. Perivolos is about a twenty minute drive from Fira on the southeast coast, reached by a straightforward road with buses running to Perissa and Perivolos through the day and taxis easy enough to arrange. Parking near the strip is manageable outside peak evenings, and a hire car or scooter makes hopping between the southern beaches simplest.
