The open air venue on the Baia Verde lungomare has run a different event every night of the week for over two decades, and the alumni list reads like a festival poster: Bob Sinclar, Steve Aoki, Fatboy Slim, Marco Carola, Gigi D’Agostino, plus most of the Italian charts in any given year. The 2026 calendar holds the line, with Shiva on 11 July, Bob Sinclar returning on 18 July and Tony Effe the following night.

The first thing a concierge should tell you about Praja is what it is not. Despite the address on the sand, there is no lounger product, no pool pass, no lunch service to book. The venue describes itself as open air spaces built around staging and technology, and that is exactly how it behaves: a purpose built amphitheatre for the summer night, dark all day and then, from late evening, the largest single gathering point in the Salento. Plan your daylight elsewhere and nobody loses.

The second thing is the arithmetic, which is quietly remarkable. Fifteen to twenty five euros, as local guides report the door on most nights, buys entry to a programme that many festivals would struggle to book across a whole weekend, and it runs seven nights out of seven. Exclusivity here is not priced at the gate, it is priced at the table: a raised platform, your own service, and separation from a floor of thousands, booked through the infoline and quoted per date. That is the version of the night worth arranging before you travel, because the big dates assign tables well ahead.

Where it falls short is a matter of formality and volume. The document rules are absolute, a physical card or passport or you do not enter, whatever your booking says, and the dress guidance excludes precisely the wardrobe most people packed for the beach. The floor admits sixteen year olds, so August skews very young away from the table areas. And there is no quiet corner at any price. By day the strip in front of the club is simply one of the Salento’s best stretches of sand, fine and pale with typically shallow, clear Ionian water, running south toward the protected pines of Punta Pizzo. Free public sections alternate with lidi renting beds and umbrellas, so an early arrival gets you a full beach day within walking distance of the evening’s doors. Praja stands on Lungomare Galileo Galilei, the coast road threading the Baia Verde strip a few minutes south of Gallipoli old town. The club confirms parking near the venue, though on the peak August dates the whole strip fills, so a taxi from town or lodging within walking distance spares you the search at midnight. Tickets for individual events sell through the TicketSMS presale, and the marquee dates also appear on the national platforms, often from around a dozen euros before fees climb with the billing.
