The verdict

Best for. Families and couples who want an easy, low key sandy day with calm shallow water and a taverna lunch by the sea rather than a club or a scene.

Best spot. The southern end nearest Piso Livadi for the gentlest entry and the shade of the tavernas, with a stroll along the seafront into the village for dinner.

Know this. This is a classic quiet Greek summer beach, not a party one, and the same calm that suits children means it is best when the north wind is light.

The honest read

Logaras is the kind of beach people return to for its ease rather than its drama. A relaxed crescent of soft sand on the east coast, it sits right beside the little fishing village of Piso Livadi, with a mostly sandy seabed, gentle entry and shallow, usually calm water on a light northerly. A handful of classic tavernas line the sand, so a swim and a long lunch by the sea is the whole idea, and the calm shallow water and easy parking make it a genuinely simple choice with children.

The honest read is that Logaras trades excitement for comfort, and that is the point. There is no club scene, no pool and no spectacle here, just sand, tavernas and a classic Greek summer rhythm, which is exactly why it suits families and anyone wanting an unhurried day. Like the rest of the east coast it is at its calmest when the Meltemi is light, and on a strong north wind even this sheltered bay can pick up, so it rewards a glance at the forecast. The tavernas are honest rather than refined, which most people count as a virtue.

Come to Logaras for a calm, low key day by the water with lunch a few steps from your towel, and walk the seafront into Piso Livadi for more tavernas and a drink as the evening comes. For more energy the big pool club at Pounda is minutes north, and for the long family sand of the island Golden Beach is a short drive south, but for sheer easy comfort this quiet bay is hard to better. The smart play is to settle by the tavernas, order slowly and let the afternoon go.

The club layer

Tavernas, not a club

Logaras runs on beach tavernas and organised sunbeds rather than a beach club, which is much of its quiet charm. For a club day, the Paros beach clubs guide has the island picture.

Beach tavernas and organised sunbeds

Logaras is a relaxed public bay with a handful of classic tavernas along the sand and organised sunbed sections rather than a named beach club. The day is built around a swim and a long lunch by the water, not bottle service. For the island's big pool club, Punda Coast sits minutes north at Pounda, and for a refined club day, Monastiri or Faragas are the picks. Sunbed prices are set locally and to be confirmed.
