The verdict

  • Best for: Active travellers and a younger crowd who want clear turquoise water, a watersports bay and a club with music on the pebbles.
  • Best spot: The early morning shoreline for the clearest snorkel, and the rocky edges of the bay where the water is brightest and the fish gather.
  • Know this: Kamenovo is small and gets loud, so the calm clear water is at dawn and the action is in the afternoon when the breeze and the jet skis fire up.

Sand
White pebble
Kamenovo is a bay of clean white pebbles and shingle rather than sand, which is why the water reads so clear and turquoise. Reef shoes make the entry easy, and the bright clarity is the trade for the harder underfoot.
Water
Clear and mostly calm
The bay is clear and calm on a still morning, bright over the pale pebbles, then the afternoon breeze often ruffles it. That wind window is exactly when the watersports come alive, so read it and pick your hour.
Entry
Free and club
There is free public access on the pebbles, with paid loungers and the Kamenovo Beach Club taking much of the bay in season. Rates and any minimum spend are independent and to be confirmed.
Facilities
Club and watersports
Kamenovo runs a beach club with loungers, bar and music, plus watersports through the day, jet ski, banana and parasail style rides. Snack and drink service is on the bay. The scene is lively rather than quiet.
Lifeguard
Seasonal, not guaranteed
Lifeguard cover is seasonal and never guaranteed. Watch the watersports lanes, mind the boat traffic at the bay mouth and swim within your depth. Conditions are typical and never guaranteed.
Best months
June to September
Summer brings the warmest, clearest water and the full club buzz. June and September keep the warm sea with more room on the pebbles, and the morning clarity is reliable through most of the season.
The honest read

Kamenovo is the bright one. Tucked over the headland east of Becici and Rafailovici, it is a compact bay of clean white pebbles where the water turns a clear turquoise that the sandier beaches up the coast cannot match. Come at first light and it is glassy and quiet, a small piece of Adriatic clarity that rewards a mask and a slow swim along the rocky edges where the fish hold.

Then the bay changes character. By mid morning the Kamenovo Beach Club has the music up and the loungers full, and the watersports crew is running jet ski, banana and parasail rides off the shore. The afternoon breeze that often comes through is the cue, that is when the bay is built for being on the water rather than in it. It is a genuinely fun, active scene, and if that is your day you will love it.

The honest part is the size and the volume. This is a small bay with a loud heart, and in July and August it packs out and the club soundtrack carries across the whole place. There is nothing wrong with that if you came for it. If you did not, the move is simple, take the clear early hours for the swim and snorkel, then walk back over to Becici for a calmer, longer sand beach when Kamenovo fills.

Getting there and essentials

Kamenovo sits east of Becici and Rafailovici, a short taxi or local bus from Budva, or a longer coast walk over the headland from Becici. The small car park above the bay fills fast in summer, so arrive early or come on foot. Conditions are typical and never guaranteed.

Bring reef shoes for the pebbles and a mask for the clear water at the rocky edges. Take the early hours for the calm swim and snorkel, and save the watersports for the afternoon when the breeze comes through and the bay is built for being on the water.

Common questions

Is Kamenovo beach sandy or pebble?

Pebble. Kamenovo is a bay of clean white pebbles and shingle rather than sand, which is part of why the water reads so clear and turquoise. Reef shoes make the entry comfortable, and the clarity is the reward.

Is there a beach club at Kamenovo?

Yes. Kamenovo Beach Club is the named venue on the bay, a livelier scene with music, loungers and watersports through the day. It draws a younger riviera crowd in summer. Any minimum spend and rates are to be confirmed.

Is the water at Kamenovo good for watersports?

It is a watersports bay. The morning sea is calm and clear for snorkel and paddle, and the club end runs jet ski, banana and parasail style rides once the day warms. The afternoon breeze often picks up, which is the moment to be on the water rather than swimming.

Is Kamenovo beach crowded?

It is small, so it fills fast. By late morning in July and August the pebbles and the club are busy and loud. The clear, calm water and the space are early in the day, before the crowd and the music build.

How do you get to Kamenovo from Budva?

Kamenovo sits east of Becici and Rafailovici, a short taxi or local bus from Budva, or a longer walk along the coast path over the headland from Becici. There is a small car park above the bay that fills quickly in peak season.
