Wild cove, reached on foot
Cala Mitjana sits on the south coast just east of Cala Galdana, near Ferreries and about 20 to 25 minutes by road from Ciutadella. There is a small parking area inland from the cove, but it is limited and fills fast in season, and a short walking track leads from it down to the sand.
The reliable approach most people use is to park at Cala Galdana and walk the signposted coast path east through the pines, around 15 minutes to the cove. Wear proper shoes, bring water, food, shade and sun cover, since there is nothing to buy here, and start early to beat both the heat and the limited parking.
