Venus has spent ten summers on the sand at Tsilivi, and for 2026 it has relaunched as a self styled modern resort by the sea, a beach bar and restaurant that wants to be a whole day rather than a quick drink. The pitch is barefoot Mediterranean ease turning to island energy after dark, and the calendar backs it up: a published events program, ticketed nights, and on 18 July a tenth anniversary party with a headline line up and a drone show over the water.
Our read, shared on the Zakynthos club directory, is that the island splits between the calm Vassilikos sand in the south and the livelier Tsilivi strip on the north coast, and Venus is the polished flagship of the north. If you want a quiet sunbed day, Banana Baya on the long southern sand fits better; if you want food, music and a scene in one address, Venus is built for it.

The crowd at four in the afternoon and at eleven at night
Venus is really two places sharing a stretch of sand. In the afternoon it is a beach bar: soft loungers, a button to summon a cocktail, fire cooked plates coming out of the kitchen, families and couples working through a slow Tsilivi day. As the light drops the resort side takes over, the music sharpens, the program kicks in, and on event nights the sunbeds give way to a crowd there for the DJ rather than the swim. Knowing which Venus you want, and timing your visit to it, is the whole trick here.
The food leans Mediterranean with a local accent, built on Zakynthian ingredients and fire cooking, while the drinks list runs to the colourful, tropical end rather than the minimalist. It is styled and photographed to within an inch of itself, which is the entire point of the relaunch, so expect the presentation to match the resort branding. What the club does not publish is a price, so go in expecting north coast beach bar rates and confirm before you commit to a table on a busy night.
The set piece of the 2026 season is the tenth birthday on 18 July, a ticketed party with Djibril Cisse, Junior Pappa, Bob DK and a drone show, and it is genuinely worth building an evening around if you are on the island that week. The flip side is the honest caveat. This is the loud, event driven end of Zakynthos, and if your idea of a beach day is a book and silence, the designed energy and the ticketed nights are exactly what you would want to avoid. Choose the south coast sand for that.
Tsilivi, beyond the bar
Photo: Tsilivi Beach Hotel via Google
Photo: Vasilis Trakas via GoogleTsilivi is the long, easy Blue Flag beach a few kilometres north of Zakynthos Town, soft golden sand and shallow water that has made it the island family and holiday hub, backed by a busy strip of bars, tavernas and shops. The swimming in front is typically gentle, the resort loungers give way to free public sand, and watersports run along the bay through summer. Our full Tsilivi beach guide covers the swimming, the strip and where to find a calmer patch.
The practical part
Tsilivi sits about five kilometres north of Zakynthos Town, an easy taxi, bus or short drive, and the resort strip means you can walk in from most of the local hotels. Parking is easier here than on the narrow southern beach roads, though it tightens on event nights when the whole area draws a crowd.
Booking splits by what you want. A daytime sunbed or table goes through the club’s own online booking page or a phone call, while the ticketed event nights, the anniversary above all, sell through the program and are the one thing you should not leave to the door. Want it handled? Share your date and group size below and we will check availability, the day rate and whether your night carries an event, at no charge.

Venus questions, answered
When is the Venus Beach Bar tenth anniversary party?
Venus marks a decade on 18 July 2026 with a headline party featuring Djibril Cisse, Junior Pappa and Bob DK and a drone show over the sea. It is a ticketed night sold through the club events program, so book ahead rather than turning up on spec.
What beach is Venus on in Zakynthos?
Venus sits on Tsilivi beach, the long Blue Flag stretch of golden sand on the north coast a few kilometres from Zakynthos Town. It is the island busy family and holiday strip, calmer for swimming by day and livelier along the bars after dark.
How much are sunbeds at Venus Beach Bar?
The club does not publish a sunbed tariff, and the loungers work on a button ordering system so a drink or plate reaches you without leaving the bed. Expect north coast beach bar rates and confirm the day figure when you book, which we can do for you.
Does Venus serve food?
Yes, it is a beach restaurant as much as a bar, with a curated Mediterranean menu built on local Zakynthian ingredients and fire cooking, alongside a long list of tropical cocktails. Tables are worth reserving on event nights.
Is Venus good for families or for a party?
Both, at different hours. By day it is an easy family beach bar on gentle Tsilivi sand, and after dark it becomes an event venue with DJs and ticketed nights. Time your visit to the mood you want, and for pure calm consider the quieter southern beaches.
How do you book Venus in Zakynthos?
Daytime tables and sunbeds go through the club own online booking page or by phone, and the ticketed event nights sell through its published program. Send us your date and we will confirm availability and whether an event is running that evening.
