Siargao is the surf island that the Philippines fell in love with, a teardrop of palm and reef off Mindanao where the days are built around waves, island hops and long mellow afternoons. The beach clubs are a recent and welcome add on rather than the main event, almost all of them gathered in General Luna near the famous Cloud 9 boardwalk. You can have a brilliant week here barely paying for sand, then dip into a pool club for a lazy day or the Siargao Beach Club for a big night when the mood takes you. For value and an easy barefoot scene, it is hard to beat.
Every venue below is a real, established place described by the day or night it delivers. The low cost is the genuine draw, with most beaches and the boardwalk free, but day passes, food minimums and entry move with the venue and the season, so we keep figures as to be confirmed and suggest you carry cash. The smartest move is to base in General Luna for the surf and the clubs, then take a boat day to the islands or ride north when you want quiet sand for next to nothing.

| Cloud 9 boardwalk and surf beach | General Luna | Free surf beach, iconic boardwalk | To be confirmed | The wooden boardwalk and tower over the Cloud 9 reef is the island's signature spot and free to walk, lined with surf schools, cafes and small bars. Not a club but the heart of the scene, best at sunrise and sunset. Surf lessons and board hire are charged separately and are to be confirmed. |
When the clubs are best in Siargao
Siargao is a year round island, but the surf and the crowd peak from August to November when the swell is biggest, which is also the liveliest time for the clubs. March to May brings calmer seas and bright weather, the easier window for swimming and island hopping, with quieter nights. The wettest spells fall between December and February when storms can pass through. Whenever you come, the scene is busiest around weekends and the surf contests, so book ahead for those dates.
Doing the clubs, the honest way
Booking is rarely needed for the beach clubs outside the busiest weekends, as most let you turn up and pay for a day pass, food or drinks on arrival. Rent a scooter or hire a habal habal to move between General Luna, Cloud 9 and Tuason, carry cash as card payment is not universal, and remember that the best of Siargao, the surf, the boardwalk and the island sandbars, costs little or nothing. Treat the clubs as the occasional comfort rather than the daily plan and the island stays cheap.
Dress is barefoot and easy, swimwear with a light layer for the evening. Send your date and party size through the form below and we will help you line up a beach club day or a night out, at no cost to you.
Book a beach club in Siargao
A few essentials
Siargao has its own small airport at Sayak, with short flights from Cebu and Manila, then a drive of about an hour to General Luna. A scooter is the cheapest way to explore but the roads are quiet rather than smooth, so ride carefully. Bring cash as machines are limited and run dry, reef shoes help on the coral fringed beaches, and the surf is for the experienced at Cloud 9 while gentler breaks suit beginners. Conditions are typical and never guaranteed.
Before you go
Which is the best beach club in Siargao?
For a daytime pool and beach club, Cloud 9 Beach Club in General Luna is the easy pick, set near the famous boardwalk with loungers, a pool and food. White Banana on Tuason Beach is the stylish daybed choice, while Siargao Beach Club is where the night goes, with foam parties and DJs. The honest answer is that Siargao is a surf island first, so the clubs are an add on to days that are mostly spent in the water for free.
How much does a Siargao beach club cost?
Siargao is still good value despite its rise, and most of the island's beaches and the Cloud 9 boardwalk are free. The beach clubs charge for food and drinks, and some run a day pass for a pool or daybed rather than a minimum spend. Exact figures move with the venue and the season, so we mark them as to be confirmed and suggest you carry cash, as card payment is not universal.
Where are the Siargao beach clubs?
Almost all of them sit in General Luna, the island's main town on the southeast coast, along Tourism Road and the Cloud 9 and Tuason beach stretch. Cloud 9 Beach Club is by the boardwalk, White Banana is on Tuason Beach, and Siargao Beach Club and Bravo are a short ride away. The quieter north around Pacifico keeps its beaches wild and largely club free.
Does Siargao have nightlife?
Yes, and it is more beach bar than nightclub. Siargao Beach Club runs the biggest nights with foam parties, fire dancers and DJs that get going after dark, and General Luna has a string of open air bars and restaurants for an easy crawl. It stays relaxed and barefoot rather than dressy, and the rhythm follows the surf, with early starts and mellow afternoons.
Is Siargao good for a quiet beach day?
Very much so away from General Luna. The island day trips to Naked, Daku and Guyam islands deliver classic empty sandbars, and the north coast around Pacifico and Burgos stays calm and uncrowded. The smart move is to base in General Luna for the clubs and surf, then take a boat day or ride north when you want sand to yourself for almost nothing.
