SantAnna does one thing that no other club on Mykonos tries at this scale: it puts the pool, not the sand, at the centre of the day. The venue wraps a vast saltwater pool in loungers, cabanas and a ring of private islands, each with its own bar, and the club bills the pool as the largest of its kind outdoors. On Paraga that is a bold pitch, because this is the coast of the marquee names, and SantAnna answers them not with a quiet cove but with a stage.

My honest take, and the one I carry on the Mykonos club directory, is that you come here for the room and the roster rather than the swim. The sea at Paraga is fine and free a few steps away, but the reason to pay the SantAnna price is the pool arena, the kitchen that never closes and a music programme that reads like a festival bill.

At noon SantAnna is a swimming club with very good service. The pool is calm, the cabanas are shaded, and staff bring coffee and cold plates to your lounger while the sound system idles at a level you can talk over. By four in the afternoon the volume and the crowd have both climbed, the poolside islands are full, and the space starts to behave less like a lido and more like the warm up to a night out. By eleven, on a headline Monday, the water is a backdrop and the deck is a dancefloor with a world touring DJ at the top of it. Knowing which of those three clubs you want to attend is the whole trick to SantAnna.

The music is not a side act, it is the reason the room fills. The club runs a residency it calls Vibing Sky, and in 2026 the anchor is Black Coffee every Monday through July and August, his fourth straight summer here, with the sets running from early evening toward midnight. Around him the calendar stacks up Francis Mercier, Joseph Capriati and Nic Fanciulli back to back, Mathame and a Martinez Brothers night with Seth Troxler. If a particular sound matters to you, check the date before you book, because the crowd and the energy change completely with the name on the bill.

As a food and scene wanderer I rate the kitchen higher than I expected to at a pool this size. SantAnna serves all day from one Mediterranean menu, with a Greek taverna leaning on the grill and mezze and a separate sushi bar for when the afternoon calls for something colder and sharper, and four cocktail bars mean you are never far from a drink even at capacity. The honest catch is that none of this is cheap, and the bill on a busy night climbs quietly while you are distracted by the music.

Where SantAnna falls short is exactly where its ambition lives. This is a big, engineered, ticketed environment, not a hidden Cycladic taverna, and if you dislike queues, cover charges and a pool packed shoulder to shoulder in August, you will not be won over by the scale. Mykonos still keeps quieter corners, a short way round the coast at Agios Sostis, and they are the antidote to a day like this rather than a substitute for it.

Paraga is a small, rocky sided cove of soft sand tucked between Paradise and the headland, calmer and more sheltered than its wilder neighbour, with a slice of free public beach next to the club concessions. The swimming is easy and the water clear, which matters little to SantAnna guests who barely leave the pool, but it matters if you want to alternate a dip in the sea with a spell on the deck. Paraga is about ten minutes by road from Mykonos Town, served by the south coast bus toward Paradise and by taxi and boat, and most guests arrive by car or transfer rather than on foot. Booking runs through the club directly, on its own site, through the reservations page or over WhatsApp, and for a Black Coffee Monday or any named event you want that reservation days ahead, not on the day. For an ordinary weekday pool lounger the pressure is lower, though a message ahead in peak August still saves you a wait at the door.
