Kalua holds the sheltered end of Paraga, a small cove on the south coast of Mykonos with a single landmark rock standing in the sea directly in front of the club. Where it falls short is a question of expectation. Kalua is not the fashion runway that draws the yacht crowd to Psarou and the club at the heart of it, and a guest looking for that specific parade will feel the difference. The cove is intimate, which is its charm and also its ceiling, since on the busiest August afternoons the sheltered sand fills and the calm that makes a June visit so easy is harder to hold. Come for the wind proof swim and the music, not for a private island.

Paraga is around fifteen minutes by road from Mykonos Town, and the regular buses toward Paraga and Paradise leave you a short walk from the sand, so a hire car is a convenience rather than a requirement.
