The verdict
- Book ifYou want the full production for two, an oversized double bed on groomed sand, sushi carried to it, a masseuse on call and a concierge who will summon a boat
- Skip ifYou want a quiet shore on a summer Saturday, because the same club that pampers a couple midweek sells its energy to bachelor and birthday groups at the weekend
- One thing to knowMinimum consumption ran 20 to 100 euros per set in July 2026 depending on the row, and the club publishes no tariff, so settle your row’s figure before you stretch out

Cabana has spent a decade turning a stretch of Paliouri sand into the showpiece of the Kassandra peninsula, and it does not pretend otherwise. The club celebrated ten summers of what it calls Cabana Festivity, and the operation now reads more like a small resort than a beach bar: a sushi kitchen, a massage service, a watersports desk, the Louisa boutique for the sarong you forgot, a membership scheme with unlimited beach access, and a concierge team that arranges private transfers and yacht days on request.
We rank it first on the Halkidiki club directory because nothing else on these three peninsulas assembles the whole package with this much intent. For a couple, that intent is the draw and the warning in one. The same machinery that delivers a flawless styled day for two also courts bachelor parties and corporate groups, and which Cabana you get depends almost entirely on the date you choose.

Two clubs share one address
Midweek Cabana is the romantic one. The beds are genuinely oversized, built as doubles rather than two singles pushed together, the rows are spaced so a conversation stays private, and the service model means the day comes to you: sushi and a cold bottle carried across the sand, a massage booked to the bed for the drowsy hour after lunch, a boat arranged for the golden late afternoon if the mood takes you. Guests consistently describe the water in front as the clean, clear kind that Kassandra’s southern tip is known for, and on a Tuesday in June the whole arrangement can feel like it was staged for two people.
Weekend Cabana is a different animal. The club openly markets bachelor parties, birthdays and corporate events, live music sessions are part of the identity, and Saturday brings the Thessaloniki crowd down the peninsula in numbers. None of this is a flaw, it is the business, but a couple expecting the midweek hush will find speakers, toasts and group photographs instead. If your one free day is a July Saturday, go for the spectacle or go elsewhere, the quieter coves on our couples list will serve the mood better.
The other honest note is pricing opacity. The club publishes no rates anywhere, and reported figures move around: 20 euros a set at the back, up to 100 euros at the water in peak season, with some visitors describing per person orders of 15 to 30 euros instead. Nobody we can find calls it poor value for what arrives, but nobody can show you a menu online either, so the only safe move is to confirm the number for your specific row and date when you book.
Xenia Beach, beyond the beds
Photo: Predrag Maletic via GoogleThe club sits on the arc locals still call Xenia Beach, after the old state hotel that once stood above it, inside the broad Chrousou bay at the bottom of Kassandra. The sand is pale and fine, the bay is sheltered enough that the water usually sits flat and translucent through the morning, and pine slopes close the view at both ends. Beyond the club’s rows the beach carries on unfurnished, so a walk along the tide line to the quiet end and back is the free half of a Cabana day. Our Halkidiki guide maps the rest of the peninsula’s sand if you want to pair the day with a wilder cove.
The practical part
Paliouri is nearly the last stop on the Kassandra leg, past Hanioti and Pefkohori on the east coast road, which keeps the casual foot traffic thinner than the resort strips further north. Drive time from Thessaloniki airport is a proper haul, so this is a club you build a day around rather than drop into, and parking arrangements at the club are best confirmed when you reserve.
Booking runs through the club’s own request form, where you pick beach or lounge seating and can attach a massage, watersports or an event to the same request, or more directly by WhatsApp. For a front row bed on a summer weekend, ask days ahead. If the WhatsApp dance is not your thing, leave your date and party size in the form below instead and our team will put the question straight to Cabana, come back with the figure your row carries that week, and charge you nothing for the go between.

Before you go
Is Cabana Beach Club good for couples?
On the right day, very. The oversized double sunbeds are built for two, the service leans on a concierge model that handles everything from a massage on the bed to a boat for the afternoon, and midweek mornings in June or September are calm. The caveat is the events trade: Cabana actively hosts bachelor and birthday parties, so a summer Saturday can belong to the groups rather than to you.
How much is the minimum spend at Cabana Beach Club?
Field reporting from July 2026 puts minimum consumption at 20 to 100 euros per sunbed set depending on the row, with the waterfront rows at the top of that range. The club itself publishes no tariff online, so confirm the figure for your date and row when you reserve.
Do you need to book Cabana Beach Club in advance?
For July and August weekends, yes, since the front rows go first and weekend crowds come down from Thessaloniki. The club takes requests through the form on its own site, where you choose beach or lounge seating, or by WhatsApp on +30 695 569 8151. A June or September weekday is a far easier walk up.
Does Cabana Beach Club have a dress code?
No dress code is posted anywhere we can verify, so treat it as to be confirmed. In practice this is a polished boho luxe club where guests dress up rather than down for the evening hours, so pack accordingly and ask when you book if it matters to your plans.
What food does Cabana Beach Club serve?
Sushi is the house speciality, served to the sunbeds and the lounge alongside a long cocktail list. The club also runs massage service, watersports and the Louisa boutique on site, so the kitchen is one part of a full day rather than the whole story. Individual dish prices are not published, so budget against your row’s minimum consumption.
Where exactly is Cabana Beach Club?
On the sand at Paliouri, near the southern tip of the Kassandra peninsula in Halkidiki, on the stretch locals call Xenia Beach in the wide Chrousou bay. It is the far end of Kassandra from the canal, past Hanioti and Pefkohori, which is part of why the beach in front stays cleaner and calmer than the resort strips further up the coast.
