Every resort coast has one venue that the others are measured against, and on this stretch of Andalusia it is Ocean Club. The club calls itself the original beach club in Marbella, and whether or not you accept the claim, nothing else at the marina stages summer with quite this much conviction: a vast saltwater pool, oversized white beds ranged across the deck, waiters moving bottles of Perrier Jouet between them, and a crowd that treats Tuesday like a gala. It anchors the Puerto Banus end of our Costa del Sol beach club directory, where only the Elviria day party icon outranks it.

What separates it from most clubs of its ambition is that the money is on the table. The 2026 bed tariff is published as a PDF on the club’s own booking site, from the 300 euro small round bed to the 1,100 euro VIP square, with the weekend minimum spends spelled out beside them. For a concierge that is a gift: you can price a Saturday for eight people to the euro before you commit, a rarer virtue than it should be at this level.

The honest read

What the tariff actually buys

Read the price list like a concierge and the value hides in plain sight. The entry bed, 300 euros for three people, already contains a bottle of Perrier Jouet, so the real cost of the theatre is closer to 70 euros a head before lunch. That is the quiet way to do Ocean Club: midweek, a small round bed, the included champagne stretched across the afternoon, the pool a few steps away. The club runs weekly OC Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday sessions through summer, when the deck is lively without the weekend arithmetic.

The weekend is a different contract. The VIP pool and deck beds add 500 euros of obligatory consumption on Fridays through Sundays, the VIP square adds 1,000, and those figures are settled at reception before you have ordered a thing. For a group of eight celebrating something, the mathematics still work out at roughly 200 euros each with two bottles of Belle Epoque included, but nobody should wander into a Saturday here expecting a casual pool day. The famous champagne parties sit outside the tariff altogether, priced separately and sold hard.

Where it falls short is exactly where its admirers would tell you to look elsewhere anyway. There is no strolling onto sand between swims: the shore below is scenic rather than usable, and the pool is the whole point. And the payment rules are unbending: nothing is reserved until paid in full, the phone is not accepted, and a no show forfeits the lot. Book like you mean it or book somewhere gentler.

Step outside the club and Puerto Banus is its own spectacle, a marina of superyachts ringed by designer boutiques where the evening promenade is as competitive as anything on the pool deck. The public sand runs either side of the port, busy, serviced and typically calm in the mornings, and our Puerto Banus beach guide covers where to swim once you leave the deck. Getting there and booking

How to do it properly

The club sits on Avenida Lola Flores in Nueva Andalucia, a short stroll from the marina itself and about ten minutes by car from central Marbella. Booking is a matter of paying, not phoning: online, by bank transfer landing a week ahead, or at reception in person. Groups wanting adjacent beds must email their booking references to the reservations office, and arrive in good time, since a prepaid bed is only guaranteed until 4pm. Agents report under 18s are admitted only with an adult, and the club confirms music cannot begin before noon.

If you would rather have the whole thing arranged, tell us your date, your party and whether the occasion needs a VIP square or just a small round bed, and we will put the enquiry to Ocean Club with the current tariff in hand. The legwork costs you nothing.

Good questions

Before you go

How much is a bed at Ocean Club Marbella?

The club publishes its 2026 packages: 300 euros for a three person bed that includes a bottle of Perrier Jouet, 600 euros for the larger eight person beds with two bottles, and 1,100 euros for the top VIP tiers, which come with two bottles of Belle Epoque. Food and drink beyond the included bottles are extra, and the packages are not valid on the champagne parties.

Does Ocean Club Marbella have a minimum spend?

Only on the VIP tiers, and only at the weekend. The club adds 500 euros of minimum spend to the VIP pool and VIP deck beds on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and special events, and 1,000 euros to the VIP square. It is charged on top of the bed price and settled at reception when you arrive.

What is the dress code at Ocean Club Marbella?

Elegant beachwear, in the club’s own words. Fancy dress, hen party accessories, body glitter, face gems and sportswear are all refused, clothing must be worn when entering and leaving, and tanning lotions containing carotene or tints are banned because they stain the white beds.

How do reservations at Ocean Club Marbella work?

Nothing is held until it is paid in full. You can pay on the club’s booking site, by bank transfer received at least a week ahead, or in person at reception, but not over the phone. Allocation is first paid, first served, prepaid beds are guaranteed until 4pm, and groups booking several beds should email the reference numbers to the reservations address so the beds sit together.

What happens at Ocean Club Marbella if it rains?

Beds are not refundable, but the club’s published terms move a rained off booking to another day or convert it into a credit voucher that stays valid for the rest of the 2026 season. Included bottles cannot be exchanged for anything else, so treat the champagne as fixed.

Is Ocean Club Marbella actually on the beach?

It sits above a section of shore at Puerto Banus with long sea views, but the day is lived around the huge saltwater pool and its deck rather than on sand. If you want your toes in the Mediterranean all afternoon, pick a club on the open beach and come here for the pool and the parties instead.
